Toowoomba Venue for Conference Catering
In April 2019, Catering People catered for the 4-day Australian Society of Sugar Cane Technologists Limited Conference. Furthermore, the conference was held in Toowoomba at the USQ Refectory. Notably, 330 guests from around the world attended.

Event caterer with heart
Catering People provided catering and event management. Concluding with a beautiful gala dinner. Accordingly, the gala event was held at Catering People’s Toowoomba venue, the USQ Refectory. Thus, we created a bespoke Italian menu.
The gala menu featured traditional Italian dishes. For example, the gorgeous eggplant parmigiana pictured below. Not only this but also Tender Roast Pork with crackling. As well as delicious dessert plates. Plus the dessert plates featured house-made cannoli, profiteroles and more.
Notably, the event included live music performances. The entertainment included the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra (Conductor: Matthew Henry). As well as M
elinda Janetzki (Soprano) and David Kidd (Tenor). What is more, the MC for the event was Belinda Sanders (ABC Southern Queensland).
Collaboration is key
Catering People is the leading caterer for Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. Beyond providing great service, Catering People believe the key to success in conference catering is working together with event organisers.
For this reason, the Australian Society of Sugar Cane Technologists Conference organisers and the Catering People team planned the event together. In order to create a catering package for the entire event.

- Notably, the Happy Hour event at the USQ Uni Bar.
- This featured a pop-up bar package and platters.
- As well as the beautiful awards presentation & closing Gala Dinner.
